I was delighted to hear Bradford K. Smith, President of the Foundation Center of New York, speak to the Grant Professionals Association and CharityChannel Summit 2011 at Bally’s Las Vegas (October 6, 2011).
Many insights provided ~ Chinese philanthropy on the rise; need for private foundations to become familiar with and use technology (which will make their lives easier, given that most have small staffs but increased workloads); federal funding is waning; increased competition for funding means everyone must think smarter!
